Reservation Policy

Please read the tour itinerary carefully before booking, if you have any questions we will be happy to help you.

For a booking we require a deposit of 100 US $ per person per tour to our bank account or via Western Union money transfer.

The rest has to be paid at least 3 days before your departure date in Cusco.

Modification of booking

You can change your booking free of charge until 20 days before the tour date subject to availability. 
Afterwards and until 5 days before the tour we charge 50 US $ per person.  
From 4 to 1 days before the tour we charge 100 US $ per person to change your tour date. 
For the traditional Inka Trail a change of date is possible minimum 3 months prior to tour departure, subject to availability.

Cancellation Policy

a) For the traditional Inka Trail:

The entrance fee for the Inka Trail (75 US $) is not refundable at any point after booking nor is it possible to change the date of trek departure, name or passport number of the trail permit according to Rules of the ´Unidad de Gestion de Machupicchu`, the goverment office that provides the entrance permits to the Inka Trail.

In case you cancel the trail we will give you the entrance ticket for Machu Picchu and your train ticket to Cusco. 
In case you need to change the dates of any of these tickets this is your responsability.

If you cancel the Inka Trail ATP charges as follows – plus the fee for the trail permit:

- until 61 days before trek departure :  25 % of the total tour price, plus permit fee 

- from the 60th till the 31st day before trek departure: 40 % of the total tour price, plus permit fee 

 - from the 30th till the 14th day before trek departure: 50 % of the total tour price, plus permit fee

 - from the 13th day until the 7th day before trek departure:  60 %  of the total tour price, plus permit fee

 - from the 6 th day until 2 days before trek departure: 70 % of the total tour price, plus permit fee

 - 1 day before until the beginning of the trek: 75 % of the total tour price, plus permit fee


b) For other treks and Manu tours:

- until 61 days before tour departure:  10 % of the total tour price

- from the 60th till the 31st day before tour departure: 25 % of the total tour price

- from the 30th till the 14th day before tour departure: 45 % of the total tour price 	 

- from the 13th day until the 7th day before tour departure:  55 % of the total tour price 	  

- from the 6 th day until 3 days before tour departure: 65 % of the total tour price

- 2 days before until the beginning of then tour: 75 % of the total tour price



For all tours:

There is no refund for expenses like money transfer fees and other expenses related to your booking.

In case of cancelling the tour on departure date or abandoning it after tour start there is no refund.
If the client decides not to participate in parts of the tour´s activities there is no refund either.

ATP is not liable for expenses for additional hotel/ lodge nights and meals not specified in the individual trip itinerary.

We strongly recommend to purchase a travel insurance in your country, especially for cases of illness, injury, theft, natural desasters, labor strikes, acts of God, war, earthquake, flooding and others.   

ATP reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient signup or problems that may seriously affect or impede trip operations such as  natural desasters, labor strikes, acts of God, war, earthquake, flooding. The refund of all payments received that have not yet been used for trip operation shall release ATP from any further liability.

Note: For Manu tours:
In case a Manu flight is cancelled due to weather conditions or by the airline for other reasons and you have to stay an extra night in Manu any additional expenses have to be covered by the client. In case it becomes necessary to return overland there is no refund for the flight ticket.
